Changes To My Study Programme

 Hi everyone, today the new topic have a relation with my study programme, but the purpose is talk about different things like: workload, the curriculum, faculty facilities,etc and I want to give my opinion about this. I think is important have a personal idea , like be critical.


About the subjects you have to study , we can find a lot. We normally have 5-8 subjects by semester, sometimes there is a second part of a subject in the next semester. You should think that is not to much, but we have 12 semesters and the most of the subjects demand a lot of time and that reason have a relation with “the content’s subject” so , I think that is good sometimes have many subjects because you can to choose and discover what “area” may be interesting for you and that is a kind of help in the future.


Second , about the workload and length of studies, the workload is demanding , because you have a lot of subjects, and you need to create a study plan for organize your time , the college and the university is very different from each other, and you will know the “active study”. You have to memorize a lot , the university is famous for being one of the best in Chile, but for being demanding too. The length of studies in the programme is “6 years” but the reality is other! most students usually graduate after 7 or 8 years old.


About buildings and infrastructure is enough to be able to learn and do the usual activities, the university have a cafeteria , chemistry laboratories, rooms to practice the dentist ‘s work, library, study rooms, gym,etc. but I think that se need to work to improve the clinic and the practice’s rooms , because this have a big relation with the major and we need to work in the best conditions possible.


The teaching methods depends of the teacher, you can learn in a face to face class, online class, group activities, etc. I think that we have different ways to learn, but sometimes is normal not understand some classes, so if you cant with the teaching methods , you can learn with classmates, transcriptions , notes,etc


Finally , the use of technology about basics things like internet isn’t the best,  sometimes is necessary have connection for make activities because there is a lot of information that can help you, but in other areas like histology you have microscopics , so is contradictory.

    Hi Isidora, it's true when you said that the most students end the career in 7-8 years, I hope I can end it in 6 years.

    Hi isidora, I think everyone have a different way to learn, so you should not necessary learn by the teacher's way, you can use transcriptions, resumes, or even videos on youtube.

    hello Isi! I think it is very true about how demanding the university can be, I hope they improve that so that the students have better mental health.

Hello everyone! Today in the blog I will talk about one of the countries that I want to visit. I have thought about visiting many countries throughout my short life, but if I went to Europe, I would choose italy as my first destination! I don’t know much about the country, but I am willing to live the experience and I hope that my English will help me communicate.  I find it a special place, but if I went i would like to go to the “coastal towns”, because they have striking structures and houses on cliffs, with bright colors. The Best Holiday Ever!

  Good to see you again! Today I will tell you about one of the best holidays I ever had in my life. The funniest thing was that this trip was not organized, it was improvised and it was outside of Chile. I traveled with my friends Catalina, Isidora, and Josefina. We went to Río de Janeiro for the New Year's holiday.  In Brazil, we did many activities and met a lot of places. We went to Copacabana, the "Sugarloaf Mountain", the BioParque, aquaRIO, etc. At the zoo, we saw monkeys and other animals and at the aquarium, we went kayaking and we found it beautiful. Every day we had a different plan because we had to take advantage of the time. We enjoyed the amazing "tropical" weather of Brazil and enjoyed the local food. It was wild because at one moment it was very hot and then it rained a lot (something we were not so prepared for). The food was cheap and very tasty, we drank caipirinha and tasted different typical Brazilian food. To order our food in restaurants ...
